Race for Vocations

“I have competed well; I have finished the race; I have kept the faith.”

—II Timothy 4:7

Sponsored by the young adults of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis, the Race for Vocations welcomes people of all ages to run/walk in the Indianapolis mini-marathon or 5k race to both promote and pray for vocations to the priesthood, religious life, sacred married life, and sacred single life. Here’s how you can support the Race for Vocations:

  1. Pray for vocations while you train. (Ex. Pray a rosary each time you run in preparation for the mini and offer it up for vocations.)  Post prayer pledges online here: http://raceforvocations.blogspot.com/
  2. Ask for commitments of prayers for vocations from your family, friends, and parish.
  3. Encourage donations by your friends and family to cover another runner’s registration fee, the cost of a runner’s t-shirt, or the cost of dinner following the Mass for Vocations the night before the race
