During the 10 days leading up to the Super Bowl (January 27- February 5) St. John’s will be “Opening Wide the Doors to Christ” by doing several Super Bowl activities that are listed below!

 

+ St. John Tours

St. John’s has approximately 70 St. John trained “Evangelists.”  These evangelists are trained to give “tours” of the Church, while also catechizing and sharing the Gospel message!

Days/Times: 

-January 27-February 2 | 3pm- 9pm (except during Masses)

-February 3 | 1-6pm, 9-11pm

-February 4 | 1-5pm, 9-11pm

If you have been trained as a St. John “Evangelist” and would like to volunteer please email Megan Fish.

 

+ Ask a Catholic

A great ministry that originated on the IUPUI Campus this past year. “Ask a Catholic” allows anyone to ask a question about the Catholic faith and receive answers from knowledgeable volunteers.

Days/Times: 

-January 27-February 2 | 3pm- 9pm (except during Masses)

-February 3 | 9am-12pm, 1-6pm, 9-11pm

-February 4 | 9am-12pm, 1-5pm, 9-11pm

+ Photos with the Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI

St. John’s will have a life size cut out of Pope Benedict XVI where people who pass by can stop and get their picture with the Holy Father!

+ First Friday Holy Hour of Adoration

This event will  be Friday evening, February 3rd at 7pm at St. John’s in the church.  The evening will begin with Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament with Father Nagel, followed by a testimonial from former NFL player and Super Bowl champion, Chris Godfrey.  The evening will conclude with the rest of the holy hour, praise and worship music, and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament with Father Nagel.   Mark this on your calendars as it will be a draw on the Friday night prior to Super Bowl.
